When a group of friends holiday goes terribly wrong –and Kate goes missing in the woods, Can they find her? Save her? And Survive?”

Plot Summary - By Emma & Clare

The film will feature a group of 5 friends who are planning a camping holiday. The film opens with Mary-Alice the main character tied to a chair and covered in blood, she wakes up and screams. A flashback then begins which tells the story of how Mary Alice has ended up where she is. The friends are shown preparing for their holiday. The group arrives at the forest where they will be camping, one of the friends (Kate) does not return from the woods- after going back to the cars to retrieve a bag she had left behind. The friends begin to panic and search for Kate, they decide to split up and search the woods properly.

After searching for a while Mary-Alice and Sam find Kate’s shoe, which is stained with, blood and drag marks along with larger footprints. They follow the drag marks to an abandoned house where they believe Kate is being kept. Meanwhile Lucy and Mark have become lost in the woods and believe that they are being followed. Mary-Alice and Sam find them-selves trapped inside the house along with who they believe is the kidnapper. After finding Kate’s body in the basement they both begin search for an escape from the house.

While trying to break open a window they are both knocked unconscious by the kidnapper. Mary-Alice wakes up in the same room and situation from the beginning of the film, as she comes round she looks up to see Sam’s body hanging in front of her- causing her to scream then stop abruptly. What has happened to Mary-Alice?

Our Film Idea (1st draft) (Giorgina)

The idea we have decided to choose for our 2 min film is where a group of friends go on a camping holiday and one of the girls go missing as she goes to get something from her car, and never returns so the friends split up and go looking for her. 2 of the friends find traces of blood and parts of the girls clothes, they follow the track and come to an abandoned house, in which they find the missing girl. In the other part of the woods the other friends think they are been followed. What will happen to our group of friends?
FILM PRODUCTION OPENING
After the opening credits it cuts to a girl tied up on a chair with blood on her face, at first she is unconscious but then wakes up, and screams. A flashback is then shown featuring a group of friends sat at college planning their weekend camping trip.

Opening film idea - Charlotte

The type of genre our film should be is a Horror. It should be misleading by showing a girl at the beginning screaming with blood on her face, as a strange, mysterious man has attacked her in a forest, but really, the person that has been running after her was a policemen and she had just murdered someone else............ It would be a quite easy film opening to film with not too many complicated camera angles, and would only be filmed within two locations, and costumes would be quite simple apart from policemans costume. To not give away the plot too much, it should cut back to a more normal scene then end.

Film Idea - (Emma Mitchell)

The idea for my film links in with the genre of Horror. A girl should be presented to be tied up in a room on a chair, having being kidnapped. The story continues, with the girl struggle to regain her freedom, and running out of time to live, she begins to lose her hope and will. However, scattered around her (as the setting is a in a dimly lit cellar) are newspaper articles, and as she reads them, unbeknown to the kidnapper, she forms a plan to escape, using the newspaper articles, which have secret codes of escape for her.
Meanwhile, the kidnapper continues to torture children, and torture the main character herself.
Will she be able to escape in time?

Film Opening Idea (Clare)

My idea for the movie opening is a horror film, where a group of friends are planning a weekend away but don't manage to get there when things start to go horribly wrong. We can use area's in and around college to film in which will make it easier to produce.

Film Idea - Giorgina

Horror-
Getting locked in at College at night and trying to find a way out whilst been chased by a crazy person, trying to kill the girls. The idea will be quite easy to film as we can film during the last lesson on a friday due to it getting dark early.
